Wei “Harvey” Hua
Wei “Harvey” Hua is a graduate student in the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to attending Mizzou, he received a M.Ed. from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign, a M.S. from the University of Nebraska, as well as a B.S. and a B.A. from Missouri State University. Wei has many years of experience in mass communication, social media, and public affairs. His research interests include public opinion, digital politics, constitutional law, and the higher education profession.
Wei has been a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) since 2016, and he was elected to his current position in March 2017. In addition, he is a member of the American Political Science Association (APSA) and a graduate affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA).
As web secretary, Wei wishes to promote connectivity and engagement among graduate students in education and other related fields, and he is excited about having this opportunity to serve educational researchers and practitioners from across the country and world.
